Senior Presales Consultant
About the role
Provenir is seeking a Senior PreSales Consultant who is a business thought leader. This role partners with customer-facing teams to sell Provenir’s risk-decisioning platform by understanding customer business challenges and delivering compelling propositions that emphasize the value of Provenir’s solutions from both business and technical perspectives. The Senior PreSales Consultant will establish themselves as a ‘go-to’ expert internally and externally, reporting directly to the Vice President of Pre-Sales, North America, and playing a critical role in influencing new revenue growth by shaping solution strategies, enhancing win rates, and accelerating sales cycles.
The role involves close collaboration with Sales, Product, Marketing, Professional Services, and Data Science teams.
Responsibilities
External Focus
- Conduct customer discovery to elicit needs, issues, and pain points
- Create compelling storytelling demonstrations and presentations of the Provenir offering to address customer challenges
- Articulate the benefits and potential value of the proposed solution to the customer
- Support the sales cycle through Q&A sessions and workshops
- Contribute to answering customer RFPs by adapting boilerplate responses, writing new content, and coordinating subject matter experts
- Conduct design and architecture workshops with prospective clients to collaboratively define solution blueprints
- Collaborate with Professional Services to ensure seamless handoff and alignment of proposed solutions with delivery plans
- Partner with internal Data Science teams to align client needs with Provenir’s advanced analytics capabilities, including AI/ML modeling strategies
- Develop and maintain demonstration environments tailored to client industry use cases
- Deliver and support webinars, conferences, and speaking engagements on behalf of Provenir
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Credit Risk, Fraud Prevention, and Financial Crime Detection, advising on market trends and best practices
- Guide clients on the value and differentiation of Provenir’s platform and ecosystem offerings
Internal Focus
- Collaborate with sales and internal stakeholders to address prospect objections and assess internal impacts
- Document sales process artifacts, including customer needs and potential solution options
- Share developed content and documentation with the global PreSales team for continuing education and process improvement
- Contribute to internal enablement sessions, including new starter onboarding and lunch-and-learns
- Work closely with Product Managers to incorporate customer insights into roadmaps
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting or collaborating with sales teams, ideally within a software vendor or consulting environment
- At least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, particularly in decisioning (Credit Risk, Application Fraud, Financial Crime and Sanctions, Portfolio Management, and/or Collections)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Proven ability to collaborate, build trust, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent planning and organizational skills; able to manage priorities across multiple workstreams
- Strong documentation and communication skills with sharp attention to detail
- Proficient in college-level writing, editing, and proofreading
- Self-motivated team player who can also work independently
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise technologies, including a basic understanding of model build, programming, and integration patterns
- Prior software Professional Services / Implementations experience
- Exposure to business intelligence reporting tools, analytics, and data-driven decisioning platforms
- Familiarity with industry best practices in credit risk, fraud detection, and AI-driven financial services solutions
Schedule
This is a remote role based in the United States (East or Central time preferred). Some travel is required (up to 25%) for client meetings, conferences, and internal business needs. Occasional international travel may be required for regional team meetings, global sales kickoffs, or other company events. All business travel expenses will be covered in accordance with the Company’s travel policy.

Pay
Compensation Range: $150K - $170K
