Senior Preconstruction Tech Engineer
About the role
The Senior Preconstruction Technology Engineer at Skanska works directly with estimating and preconstruction teams to improve construction planning information. This role combines expertise in construction estimating, data visualization, digital tools, and emerging AI technologies to create innovative solutions that improve estimating efficiency and enhance client-facing deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Work hands-on with estimating teams in preparing project estimates
- Identify workflow improvement opportunities
- Develop digital workflow solutions
- Create interactive, client-facing project dashboards
- Improve estimate presentation materials and methods
- Evaluate emerging technologies that enhance preconstruction services
Requirements
- 2+ years full-time relevant industry experience
- 1+ year demonstrated experience with commercial construction estimating and estimating software applications
- Geometry - proficiency in measures of length, area and volume calculations
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Word, and Powerpoint
- Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience
