Responsibilities
- Work with division leaders to develop and execute strategies to win work.
- Monitor team progress to ensure project deadlines and milestones are met.
- Grow and develop other team members to achieve project goals and align with future divisional objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of preconstruction managers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and proactive work environment.
- Execute effective estimating practices to produce high quality estimates for projects.
- Produce comprehensive project schedules during the preconstruction phase.
- Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project scopes, plans, and budgets.
- Identify and evaluate project risks, offering solutions to mitigate potential issues.
- Serve as the main point of contact during the preconstruction phase, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Aid in business development and work procurement pursuits as required.
- Aid preconstruction team members in maintaining estimating software, systems, databases, and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive estimating experience in similar types of construction.
- Advance knowledge of construction concepts and activities.
- Experience in a leadership position with successful, demonstrated results.
- Experience in the Industrial market, and specifically process and manufacturing, is strongly encouraged and will be considered in our evaluation of the candidate.
- Experience with EPC and/or Design-Build projects.
- Must possess superior communication and interpersonal (facilitation, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.
