Senior Preconstruction Manager

Responsibilities

• Work with division leaders to develop and execute strategies to win work.
• Monitor team progress to ensure project deadlines and milestones are met.
• Grow and develop other team members to achieve project goals and align with future divisional objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of preconstruction managers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and proactive work environment.
• Execute effective estimating practices to produce high quality estimates for projects.
• Produce comprehensive project schedules during the preconstruction phase.
• Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project scopes, plans, and budgets.
• Identify and evaluate project risks, offering solutions to mitigate potential issues.
• Serve as the main point of contact during the preconstruction phase, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Assist in business development and work procurement pursuits as required.
• Assist as appropriate in the closing of a sale and final contract negotiations with an owner.
• Absorb and maintain estimating software, systems, databases, and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive estimating experience in similar types of construction.
• Advance knowledge of construction concepts and activities.
• Experience in a leadership position with successful, demonstrated results.
• Experience in the Industrial market, and specifically process and manufacturing, is strongly encouraged and will be considered in our evaluation of the candidate.
• Experience with EPC and/or Design-Build projects.
• Must possess superior communication and interpersonal (facilitation, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.
