Senior Preconstruction Manager
About the role
A Senior Preconstruction Manager leads and manages multiple projects, working with a team of preconstruction managers and shared team resources to deliver exceptional deliverables to clients. They are responsible for the day-to-day execution of preconstruction services from initial program design phase until final construction documents are complete.
Responsibilities
- Lead feasibility studies, budget estimates, comparative studies, and value engineering
- Presentation of studies to both internal and external clients
- Lead project teams in all aspects of bid and budget deliverables
- Participate in the hiring and termination process
- Manage the design and preconstruction phase with all stakeholders including owners, design team, consultants, and HITT operations
- Prepare and analyze pricing proposals, including current market and regional conditions, historical data, material escalation, internal estimate, and subcontractor input
- Present proposals to clients, including strategic preparation
- Understand building systems and opportunities to control or reduce costs
- Understand construction drawings and specifications and identify missing elements
- Manage project scheduling, phasing, and logistical planning
- Communicate effectively with clients and design teams
- Manage client relationships and develop new client relationships
- Ensure compliance with construction codes and LEED requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field, preferred
- At least (7) years of related commercial construction work experience
- Experience as a lead preconstruction manager on several projects
- Experience leading others as team leader and coaching others

Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $187,000.00. Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
