Senior Portfolio Accountant

Accountabilities

• Take a lead role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes
• Review property management financial statements
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Complete quarterly financial analysis, including review of investment accounting information
• Cook up and execute cash transactions, including capital calls, investor distributions, and property acquisitions/dispositions
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables, including year-end audit and tax requirements
• Calculate, analyze, and report portfolio performance returns
• Respond to client inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across reporting processes
• Demonstrate initiative in identifying problems and recommending solutions
• Lead and support special projects as assigned

The Senior Portfolio Accountant will report directly to the Portfolio Controller and play a critical role in financial analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
