About the role
The Project Executive will lead the delivery of a landmark four-story, $200M+ educational facility, overseeing all phases from late-stage preconstruction through final completion.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of the project from late-stage preconstruction through final completion, ensuring excellence in quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.
- Manage large, complex K-12 and higher education construction projects with a minimum of 15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Deliver K-12 or higher education facilities exceeding $100M in value with a proven track record.
- Possess a deep understanding of CMAR, Design-Build, and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods, and maintain project budgets and control cost exposure with a strong financial acumen.
- Guide and mentor the project management and field leadership teams, aligning with Heartland Construction values and project objectives.
- Collaborate closely with design partners during late-stage design development and GMP finalization, championing safety, quality, and constructability throughout all phases.
- Maintain a proactive approach to issue resolution, stakeholder communication, and client relationship management.
- Contribute to Heartland's broader goals of excellence, innovation, and long-term client partnerships.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of construction experience, including at least 10 years in a leadership role managing large-scale educational or institutional projects.
- Proven success delivering K-12 or higher education facilities exceeding $100M in value.
- Deep understanding of CMAR, Design-Build, and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods.
- Strong financial acumen, maintaining project budgets and controlling cost exposure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiating skills.
- OSHA 30 certification and familiarity with BIM/VDC integration are highly desirable.
