Senior Plumbing Engineer
About the role
BR+A Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing Engineer to join our talented team at our headquarters in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
- Designing of Plumbing systems for Healthcare and Higher Education projects
- Proficient in Auto CAD and Revit
- Experience in specification writing
- Performs field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
- Captures coordination with other disciplines
- Develops calculations for Plumbing/FP systems
- Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts plumbing code, model codes and NFPA
- Strongly motivated, well organized, shows professional initiative
- Takes ownership of assignments, works both independently and as part of the project team
- Possesses excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Understands engineering concepts, design, and spatial requirements
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Results-driven and team-oriented
- Able to think three-dimensionally
- Able to manage time to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- PE License
- 10-20 years of related experience
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts plumbing code, model codes and NFPA

- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Understanding of engineering concepts, design, and spatial requirements
