Senior Plumbing Designer (8+ yrs)

We're seeking an energetic and self-motivated Senior Plumbing Designer with 8+ years of experience. The successful individual will have experience in the design of plumbing systems for offices, military construction, hospitals, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. In addition, the individual must be comfortable consulting to architectural practices and have a desire to work on a multi-discipline engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Perform self-directed design work
• Design plumbing systems including domestic hot/cold systems, waste and vent systems, grease waste systems (including grease interceptors), condensate drainage and condensate recovery systems, natural gas and propane design, compressed air, lab gasses, and med gasses
• Produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and isometric drawings from detailed sketches
• Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings
• Design layouts, details, and overall system design for typical plumbing systems
• Work with numerous project teams to assist with project completion
• Train and assign work to Designers and CAD professionals
• Multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Perform other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience designing plumbing systems for commercial buildings
• B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college in related field
• Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) or equivalent (preferred)
• Knowledge of relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Proficient in CAD and BIM, including recognition of standards and the clash detection process
• Extensive knowledge of codes and design and construction practices
• Experienced with the latest release of AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD and BIM tools common to the discipline
• Detail oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale

• Capable of performing self-directed design work

Pay

• Approximate Base Salary – $107,000.00 – $120,000.00, depending on experience
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end-of-year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance

Schedule

• Hybrid Work Schedule - Monday - Wednesday onsite, Thursday and Fridays are optional work-from-home (subject to change)
