Senior. Platform Engineer (OnSite)

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming software engineering through the integration of development and operations, focusing on the design, development, implementation, and integration of a comprehensive infrastructure platform.

Responsibilities

• Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure
• Aid in architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines
• Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile development teams to design and implement robust platform solutions
• Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management
• Provide operational support for the platform

Requirements

• Typically requires a BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics, and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
• Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
• Experience with RedHat Linux
• Active and current TS/SCI/CIPoly issued security clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab)
• Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux-based operating systems
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
• Experience developing, testing & delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework
• Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT level II requirements (Security + CE or equivalent)
