At Vernovis, we help these professionals achieve their career goals, matching them with innovative projects and dynamic direct hire opportunities in Ohio and across the Midwest.Client Overview: Vernovis is partnering with a leading organization seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable platforms supporting business applications and machine learning workloads.What You'll Do:Design, build, and operate secure, scalable internal platforms and cloud infrastructure.Develop self-service infrastructure and deployment capabilities using Infrastructure as Code and automation.Build and maintain Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, networking, identity, security, and policy controls.Implement CI/CD solutions and standardized deployment practices across development teams.Own platform observability, reliability, incident response, and continuous improvement.Partner with application teams to improve developer experience and accelerate time-to-production.What Experience You'll Have:Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Argo CD.Strong understanding of Linux, networking, cloud security, containers, identity, and access management.Experience with programming or automation using Go, Python, or TypeScript.Strong troubleshooting, incident response, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.What Experience is Nice to Have:Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.Experience implementing security and compliance controls through policy-as-code and supply-chain security.Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring other engineers.
