What You’ll Do
- Enhance reporting content and processes to ensure that reporting meets the business needs and is produced efficiently
- Cook up the month-, quarter- and year-end closing and reporting activities for the business
- Streamline current process and identify process improvement opportunities to automate
- Prepare detailed variance analysis and partner with finance members to research issues and present findings to leadership
- Cook up financial forecasts
- Prepare financial reports for internal use at the company by collecting, analyzing, formatting and presenting information
- Supervise accounts payable and invoicing activities
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Perform monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to review with operations team & business unit management
- Absorb and analyze current procedures and recommend changes to develop and implement best practices
- Handle special projects and other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR equivalent experience in manufacturing/cost accounting
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance/accounting (Cost Accounting experience in Manufacturing highly preferred)
- Track record of process improvement, simplification and streamlining financial processes
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience with various systems and financial reporting tools (Oracle, On, JobScope, Power BI, GL Wand/Reports Wand)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data modeling skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to interface with business leaders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Extensive knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
