About the Team

The Planning & Scheduling team at ZF Transmissions plays a critical role in ensuring on-time delivery to both internal and external customers by seamlessly connecting customer demand, production planning, and supply chain execution. This team drives logistics excellence across the shop floor and throughout the supply chain, creating and optimizing production schedules, coordinating product launches, monitoring key performance indicators, and continuously improving processes through lean manufacturing principles. By balancing customer requirements with available capacities and inventory, the team ensures that the right products are delivered at the right time, place, quantity, quality, and condition while supporting operational efficiency and cost optimization.

What you can look forward to as a Senior Planner/Scheduler

• Create, maintain and improve information flow and ensure deliveries in the right time, to the right place, in the right quantity and quality and in the right condition.
• Create demands and/or production schedules for internal or external suppliers out of internal or external customer demands.
• Perform assigned product launch activities in cooperation with internal and/or external suppliers or customers.
• Perform assigned activities in accordance with lean production principles and aim towards a total cost optimum.
• Develop, monitor, analyze, and/or improve KPIs for assigned logistics processes.
• Utilize information from internal/external customers, compare with parts/goods available and define production schedules and/or demands, while considering capacities available.
• Production schedules and/or demands must always reflect to the official production program of ZFTG.

Your profile as a Senior Planner/Scheduler

• Bachelor’s Degree required and 0-3+ years of experience in materials planning and/or customer planning in manufacturing environment.
• Two (2) years of experience in Automotive Industry preferred.
• Experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Broad knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within supply chain planning.
• Experience with demand forecasting and/or planning methods.
