Senior Planner
About the role
The Senior Planner is responsible for performing highly skilled professional planning and development work and project review in land use, subdivision, environment, water quality, and other subjects as appropriate. This position performs professional planning work to support application processes, primarily current planning with occasional long-range planning needs; assists the Director with administrative duties as required and exercises general supervision of planning personnel as assigned.

Requirements
- Master's degree in urban or regional planning, environmental science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in planning, preferably in a governmental setting.
- Knowledge of zoning, subdivision, environmental, and land use laws and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits

Skills
- Strong knowledge of zoning, subdivision, environmental, and land use laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with GIS software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
