Responsibilities

• Review water and wastewater capacity reservation (WCR) applications and generate WCR letters for impact fee administration.
• Assess impact fees within an Excel‑based web client in accordance with ordinances, state laws and regulations.
• Review legal documents, surveys, site plans and plats.
• Maintain daily correspondence with customers regarding application status.
• Collaborate with other sections, divisions and departments.
• Assist in creating reports, standard operating procedures and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge: Related Associate’s degree (e.g., Building Inspection) or equivalent.
• Experience: Two years of skilled, journey‑level experience in building trades, inspection or plan examining in the relevant area; two additional years of such experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Physical Effort: Routine stooping/bending and lifting of moderately heavy items (up to 40 lb).
• Work Environment: Occasional minor discomforts from less‑than‑optimal temperature/air conditions; occasional exposure to office chemicals and extensive video display terminal use.
• Physical Skill: Ability to make coordinated gross motor movements in response to changing stimuli within moderate tolerances, or coordinated eye/hand movements on a patterned response space with low tolerance demands and no real speed requirements.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Superb customer‑service experience via phone, in‑person, and email.
• Strong writing and critical‑thinking skills for document analysis.
• Ability to review surveys, floor plans, site plans, Google Earth, GIS/mapping systems.
• Problem‑solver.
