About the role

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking a Senior Pipeline Project Engineer to join our Energy team in Detroit, MI. This is a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages all phases of project delivery including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, invoicing and closing.
  • Develops and maintains client relationships.
  • Works effectively with project support staff to monitor and control project to achieve financial target metrics for all projects.
  • Effectively communicates technical information to practitioners, clients and laypersons.
  • Mentors and coaches project team members and provides constructive feedback on team member performance.
  • Executes project to meet or exceed client expectations while meeting industry standard of care.
  • Follows and adheres to all federal and state regulations, client requirements and contracts, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and drives the Kleinfelder culture of safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of related pipeline experience.
  • Working understanding of pipeline standards and industry accepted practices.
  • Working knowledge of Natural Gas and Hazardous Liquids systems including engineering design and construction.
  • Computer skills required: MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint), AutoCAD 3D.
  • Experience in the planning, design, engineering of natural gas pipelines, both distribution and transmission, is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree.
  • Professional Engineer (PE).
