Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Ping Identity Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) modernization initiative. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, helping guide technical decisions, reduce implementation risk, establish best practices, and accelerate the overall program for a maturing Ping Identity platform.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Ping Identity SME for a large-scale identity modernization initiative
  • Provide hands-on guidance and expertise across the Ping Identity ecosystem
  • Advises teams on application onboarding, authentication flows, federation, and identity management best practices
  • Support the migration of applications from legacy authentication platforms into Ping Identity
  • Guide MFA strategy, implementation, and modernization efforts
  • Review current architecture, integrations, and implementation approaches to identify risks and optimization opportunities
  • Provide recommendations around SSO, federation, authentication, authorization, and credential management
  • Partner closely with development teams to solve complex integration challenges
  • Establish implementation standards, reusable patterns, and best practices for future onboarding efforts
  • Support roadmap validation and long-term platform maturity planning
  • Mentor internal team members and provide knowledge transfer on Ping Identity capabilities and implementation strategies

Core Requirements

  • 8+ years of Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on Ping Identity experience
  • Deep expertise with one or more of the following: PingFederate, PingAccess, PingOne, PingDirectory, PingID
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale Ping Identity implementations and migrations
  • Strong knowledge of: Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Identity Federation
  • Experience integrating applications into centralized authentication platforms
  • Experience supporting identity modernization and authentication transformation initiatives
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Desired Skills

  • Banking or financial services experience
  • Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) experience
  • Experience migrating from IBM Tivoli or other legacy IAM platforms
  • Experience implementing MFA solutions, including: SMS OTP, Email OTP, Push Authentication, Adaptive Authentication
  • Familiarity with risk-based authentication and Zero Trust principles
  • Experience working within large enterprise modernization programs
