About the role
The Senior Physiotherapist (Level 3) maternity leave backfill position is available for pulmonary and heart failure rehabilitation at Macquarie Hospital and across Northern Sydney LHD community health centres. The position is initially available until the end of November 2026, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

Where you'll be working
Based at Macquarie Hospital and working across Northern Sydney LHD community health centres.
What you'll be doing
- Working within the experienced physiotherapy and multi-disciplinary team at CDCRS (Chronic Disease Community Rehabilitation Service).
- Co-ordinating and conducting group exercise programs for outpatients with chronic respiratory conditions and/or chronic heart failure.
- Undertaking individual patient assessments, developing evidence-based personalized rehabilitation plans, monitoring patients before, during and after exercise.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Extensive clinical experience with a minimum at a Level 2 Physiotherapist.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage a demanding workload, apply high-level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
- Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current physiotherapy practice.
- A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
- Unrestricted NSW Drivers license.
