About the role
Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) is an award-winning, high-quality, acute-care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. It serves the people of Lakewood Ranch and surrounding areas through various services including emergency services, general and robotic surgery, maternity care, breast health, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, stroke, sleep medicine, urology, and wound care.
Responsibilities
- Performs LIS / computer operations and clerical functions as needed.
- Assists in the processing of laboratory specimens to facilitate the production of quality results.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program preferred.
- At least 2 years of active phlebotomy experience required.
- Possess current skills in the required areas.
- Phlebotomy Certificate from an accredited phlebotomy program and a National Certification with one of the following recognized organizations: American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT), or National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel (NCA).
- Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
