Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Deliver exceptional care by providing a full suite of custom medication management services. Engage with patients over the phone and virtually to support their medication needs.
- Clinic Integration: Collaborate effectively with clinic teams, including doctors, nurses, and other staff, to ensure seamless integration and coordination of care.
- Educate patients about our pharmacy services and how they enhance their overall care. Encourage utilization of specialty pharmacy services.
- Medication Management: Monitor medication adherence, perform outbound therapy/medication adherence check-ups, and manage refill prescriptions. Address and resolve insurance-related issues, including prior authorizations and financial assistance.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate documentation, manage data using database applications, and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Communication: Provide timely and effective communication with the clinical care team members as well as fulfillment staff and handle inbound inquiries professionally.
- Process Development: Contribute to the development of new processes to improve patient care and operational workflows, under the oversight of the Workflow Committee.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One (1) or more years of experience as a licensed pharmacy technician.
- Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a pharmacy technician in the State of Maine or currently eligible consistent with the current State of Maine Board of Pharmacy requirements. CPhT certification is required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) encouraged. Ability to quickly learn new software and extract relevant information.
