Senior Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities
- Compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions
- Maintains drug inventory and stock control systems
- Aids pharmacists in compounding, preparing, and dispensing medical prescriptions
- Enters, accesses, or retrieves data using computers
- Establishes and maintains patient profiles
- Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs
- Controls inventory stock levels and timelines to ensure adequate supplies
- Coordinates departmental quality assurance and other client-focused services with supervisory staff
- Creates and maintains a safe working environment and conditions that adhere to state laws and regulations
- Provides work guidance to others, including leading in resolving day-to-day challenges
- Serves as a resource for leadership and staff, as well as a mentor to others
- Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of new processes or techniques
- Ensures policies and procedures are followed
Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED required
- Associate's degree preferred
- Two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, including leading providing work guidance to others
- Must maintain annual registration as a Pharmacy Technician through the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state privileges as required by position
- Must complete the required hours of Pharmacy Technician continuing education
