Senior Pharmacy Technician
About the role
The Senior Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician provides expertise in supporting Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy practice. In addition to the regular Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician duties and direct patient interactions, this role is key to supporting both caregivers and the department leadership meeting clinical and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Supports caregivers and department leadership in meeting clinical and operational goals.
- Provides expertise in supporting Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy practice.
- Engages in direct patient interactions as part of the regular duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Washington Pharmacy Technician License within 2 years of hire.
- National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification within 2 years of hire.
- 4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians).
- 1 year of customer service experience.
- 1 year or more of work experience in an ambulatory pharmacy setting with high stress or high-volume service.
- 1 year or more of experience with prior authorizations, financial assistance, and patient interviewing.
- 1 year or more of experience with EMR and pharmacy information systems, patient monitoring devices, and vital signs collection.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
