Senior Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview

This position involves engaging with customers and patients to provide exceptional service, resolving issues, and fostering strong relationships. It also supports pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist, including processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, offer product help, and ensure a positive experience.
• Support pharmacy tasks such as entering patient information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and managing interactions.
• Report prescription errors promptly and adhere to quality and safety policies.
• Handle sales transactions, process third-party claims, and assist customers in locating products.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Support clinical services, including specimen collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment and support team training and development.

Qualifications & Skills

• PTCB or ExCPT certification and at least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital settings.
• Fluency in English and willingness to work flexible hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days.

Preferred Attributes

• Previous experience with Walgreens and basic math and PC skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is advantageous.
