Senior Pharmacist - Strategy (Hybrid)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Pharmacist - Strategy (Hybrid) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will help shape pharmacy strategy with a strong focus on formulary management, utilization review, and evidence-based decision-making. You will partner with analytics teams, pharmacy vendors, clinicians, and internal stakeholders to improve program effectiveness and support compliant, member-focused pharmacy services. The position also includes opportunities to influence educational initiatives, operational improvements, and broader strategic efforts across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence-based medicine drug evaluation programs for formulary and utilization management
• Develop and implement pharmacy formulary and utilization management initiatives
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for pharmacy programs
• Collaborate with analytics teams and pharmacy vendors to gather real-world evidence insights
• Develop educational initiatives for physicians, pharmacies, and members
• Manage projects to improve departmental efficiencies
• Provide mentorship to junior team members

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in pharmacy or completion of an accredited PGY-1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency plus 2 years of related experience
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Registered Pharmacist (Non-State Specific)
• Strong understanding of managed care pharmacy principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data processing applications

Pay

$118,400 – $196,800 annually
