Senior Performance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance of operating wind and solar assets through SCADA and other data acquisition and monitoring platforms.
• Support with identifying performance improvement opportunities.
• Calculate and report on key power plant metrics to determine the overall health and performance of the assets and generate ad-hoc reports.
• Develop and implement dashboards to allow for live monitoring and assessment of up-to-date wind farm performance.
• Manage contractual availability/production guarantee calculations with O&M providers and PPA customers.
• Generate regular performance reports for multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform ad hoc data queries and analysis in support of commercial, finance, development, and operations teams.
• Understand IEC standards for plant performance and advise on implementation of such models.
• Validate and improve lost energy calculation methods.
• Develop and maintain databases and data analysis tools.
• Drive continuous improvement in data analytics, digital tools, and performance processes.

Qualifications

• Understanding of SCADA data and energy production methods.
• Knowledge of data mining, troubleshooting and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and planning, prioritizing and organizing abilities.
• Proficiency with database analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
• A strong personal commitment to continuous improvement.

Pay

$120,000 - $140,000 USD, bonus eligible
