Senior Performance Engineer

About the role

The Senior Performance Engineer is an engineer with a proven track record of excellence in project development and technology advancement. They are expected to lead technical assessments and the implementation of new technologies, serving as a subject matter expert and mentor to other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within a facility
• Analyze utility bills and financials
• Meet with contractors to provide technical solutions that are creative, economical, and technically sound
• Facilitate communication among the internal team, sub-contractors, and customers
• Perform energy savings, calculations, operational savings calculations, life cycle cost analysis, and feasibility analysis of recommendations and associated risks
• Create financial models based on customer parameters and project results
• Develop and present proposals to customers
• Ensure smooth installations and achieve exceptional results for the customer
• Evaluate risk associated with technical feasibility, constructability, scope, costs, and guarantee
• Maintain full technical understanding of energy and plant/facility operations
• Serve as the ongoing technical resource consultant for the customer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited or equivalent Engineering program
• 10 years’ engineering experience

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering license and at least one certification from the following fields: CEMC, MVM, LEED, NEBB, TAB, ASHRAE

Skills

• Technical proficiency in facility utility-consumption analysis and reduction strategies
• Experience with general capital improvements and community infrastructure projects
• Ability to read and interpret utility bills and financial data
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of current technologies and industry trends
• Ability to manage and coordinate with subcontractors and consultants
• Proficiency in creating technical plans and presentations
