About the role
The Senior Performance Engineer is an engineer with a proven track record of excellence in project development and technology advancement. They are expected to lead technical assessments and the implementation of new technologies, serving as a subject matter expert and mentor to other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within a facility
- Analyze utility bills and financials
- Meet with contractors to provide technical solutions that are creative, economical, and technically sound
- Facilitate communication among the internal team, sub-contractors, and customers
- Perform energy savings, calculations, operational savings calculations, life cycle cost analysis, and feasibility analysis of recommendations and associated risks
- Create financial models based on customer parameters and project results
- Develop and present proposals to customers
- Ensure smooth installations and achieve exceptional results for the customer
- Evaluate risk associated with technical feasibility, constructability, scope, costs, and guarantee
- Maintain full technical understanding of energy and plant/facility operations
- Serve as the ongoing technical resource consultant for the customer
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited or equivalent Engineering program
- 10 years’ engineering experience
Qualifications
- Professional Engineering license and at least one certification from the following fields: CEMC, MVM, LEED, NEBB, TAB, ASHRAE
Skills
- Technical proficiency in facility utility-consumption analysis and reduction strategies
- Experience with general capital improvements and community infrastructure projects
- Ability to read and interpret utility bills and financial data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current technologies and industry trends
- Ability to manage and coordinate with subcontractors and consultants
- Proficiency in creating technical plans and presentations
