About the role
This is a versatile IT Tech Lead position that may perform work related to delivery of upgraded capabilities within a PeopleSoft/PeopleTools Upgrade. The role requires substantial experience with PeopleSoft Financials (AP/AR/BI/GL) and how this integrates with other systems. Workers at this level solve complex problems, manage work including giving work assignments, and provide leadership to others in application areas of specialization, with minimal supervision and increased latitude for unreviewed work.
Responsibilities
- Lead troubleshooting to the most complex issues and lead others to implement fixes to systems and applications that require significant freedom of action and sound judgment
- Demonstrate the ability to visualize long-term results and asset impacts on a system-wide basis
- Communicate appropriate information including downtimes, change management, status, issues, defects, etc. to users, IT management at the highest levels and any other necessary audience including their own division
- Present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written form; recognize appropriate times to provide this communication
- Work with vendors to implement (projects) and/or support (break-fix, maintenance, user support and small projects) applications and solutions
- Utilize waterfall and agile methodologies to develop and maintain applications
- Work on projects as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and/or developer/Technical Lead; provide knowledge and expertise gained from experience
- Coordinate routine maintenance for emergency patches, service packs and upgrades (software) for assigned application/project, involving working with operations/DBAs
- Utilize appropriate Human Performance tools effectively during activities, especially testing and implementation activities
- Provide recommendations and assist in decision making at a portfolio level
- Research and analyze new technology
- Design solutions based on defined requirements and lead others to the development and implementation of those designs
- Program and direct other programmers in required programming languages, database SQL, report writing, ETL, etc.
- Assist with testing and migrating code through test regions
- Ensure adherence to appropriate design, coding and source control standards
- Lead system design and code walk through as a presenter or reviewer
- Process Change Requests and Quality Assurance (QA) documentation for project implementations and support changes
- Recommend IT process enhancements and standards related to areas of assignments
- Coach and mentor other IT Application Analysts
- Lead corporate and division level initiatives
- Assist management with strategic or tactical planning as needed
- Manage team members' day-to-day work assignments based on the application pipeline reports, individual's work queues, skills and schedules
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline (in lieu of a degree, 15+ years of related business experience)
- 10+ years as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent with PeopleSoft and specifically experience with PeopleTools FCM upgrades
- Ten years of coding/programming, troubleshooting, problem-solving, logical design, SQL coding, Business Requirements analysis, vendor management, root cause analysis, Enterprise Standards and Process Adherence

Pay
$75.00 - $85.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
