About the Role
As a Senior People Partner, you will be embedded within our Engineering, Product, Design, and Marketing teams, working closely with leaders to drive org health, talent strategy, and people programs. This is a unique time for Superhuman as we integrate multiple companies (Grammarly, Coda, Superhuman Mail, Rows, GPTZero) into a single AI productivity platform while scaling across business units. People Partners at Superhuman operate at the intersection of business units and centralized functions, acting as strategic partners rather than HR administrators. We seek someone who can own relationships, context, and judgment to proactively push the business forward while navigating complex situations with speed and care.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with C-suite executives to drive execution and people strategy for their organizations.
- Build a deep understanding of the business and strong relationships at all levels (from IC to exec) to coach effectively through org design, performance, change management, and headcount management.
- Drive talent strategy to build high-performing teams, owning talent reviews, calibrations, and performance management end-to-end with a high and consistent bar.
- Collaborate with the People team (L&D, Compensation, Ops, Recruiting) to build and run programs (e.g., leveling, equity programs).
- Partner with leaders, finance, and recruiting to translate business priorities into team structures and people investments (e.g., headcount planning, hiring processes).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of people partner experience, ideally at scaling companies where you’ve been involved in building teams or processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build high-trust relationships quickly across all org levels, from ICs to senior leaders.
- Experience supporting Engineering, Product, Design, and/or Marketing orgs is preferred.
- Strong judgment in navigating complex, sensitive employee situations with speed, structure, and genuine care.
- Experience partnering with other People teams and business partners like Finance and Recruiting.
- Ability to build and figure out solutions with cross-functional partners, not just execute processes.
- Strong business acumen—connecting people strategy to business outcomes and engaging credibly with senior leaders.
- Experience owning talent calibrations, leveling exercises, and performance management end-to-end.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, operating proactively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to compensation review processes and pay equity analysis.
- Experience in a compound startup, multi-product company, or post-acquisition environments.
Benefits
- Excellent health care, including medical, dental, vision, mental health, and fertility benefits.
- Disability and life insurance options.
- 401(k) and RRSP matching.
- Paid parental leave.
- 20 days of paid time off per year, 12 paid holidays, two floating holidays, and flexible sick time.
- Generous stipends for caregiving, pet care, wellness, home office, and more.
- Annual professional development budget and opportunities.
