Senior People Development Partner
Job Description
The Senior People Development Partner delivers development opportunities and consultation to enhance competencies and effectiveness to a variety of audiences. This role contributes to analyzing, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating learning and performance improvement solutions to close performance and skill gaps. This role is responsible for learners' success in achieving learning objectives and provides data-driven results.
Primary Responsibilities
- Pairs with organizational leaders and Business Partners to identify development needs for individual and team learning that align with organizational goals.
- Takes ownership of the relationship with organizations that People Development serves.
- Designs and delivers a variety of engaging learning experiences using blended learning approaches, including in-person and virtual workshops, coaching, and eLearning modules.
- Collaborates with others, including learning design and organizational leaders, to develop, implement, and influence learning and development solutions that equip leaders, faculty, and/or staff with the mindsets, skills, abilities, and knowledge they need to be successful.
- Provides effective coaching and consulting for leaders, faculty and/or staff.
- Provides effective, productive feedback to participants and organizational leadership throughout the learning and talent development journey.
- Develops and implements development programs to equip leaders, faculty and/or staff with the mindsets, skills, abilities, and knowledge they need to be successful.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of learning and development programs and measures their impact on individual and organizational performance.
- Stays current on emerging trends and best practices in learning and development.
- Collaborates effectively across relevant functions to deliver learning and development solutions.
- Engages in creative problem-solving to drive continuous improvement.
- Works to achieve operational targets within job areas impacting department or function results, as well as helping key stakeholders achieve their key results.
- Regularly reports to key stakeholders on results and shares learning trends to help leaders make data-driven decisions for their employees.
- Responsible for employing adjustments or recommended enhancements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve the job area's effectiveness while leveraging a systems-thinking approach.
- Promotes and drives usage of People Development solutions.
- Understands the fiscal impact of projects, resources, and materials used in learning and development.

- An understanding and appreciation of the competency/skill-based education model. This may include subject matter expertise relevant to projects and initiatives as required.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Adult Education, or closely related field.
Experience
- 5 years of related experience teaching adult students in a higher education setting OR developing employees in a corporate setting.
- Previous experience in application of distance-learning and adult-learning principles.
- Experience in creating course content, curriculum development, and measuring learning effectiveness.
- Experience in key stakeholder management and engaging with stakeholder expectations.
- Experience conducting needs analysis for best possible outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- 7 years of related experience specifically in adult higher ed or corporate employee development.
- 3 years of experience in higher education.
- Experience with learning and course authoring software.
