About the Role
The Senior Payroll Tax and Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for the reconciliation of all UPHS payroll tax accounts, and the filing and payment of tax liabilities in compliance with local, state, and Federal guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile local, state and Federal wages and withholding between the Payroll application and the general ledger.
- Reconcile payroll related account activity to the general ledger, provide supporting schedules for all variances, and resolve reconciling items.
- Responsible for the payroll tax liabilities including the planning, filing, and the reporting of tax liability of the business.
- Prepare, file and initiate payment for all payroll related taxes in accordance with local, state, and Federal guidelines and schedules.
- Maintain accuracy and timely completion of payroll tax returns by ADP and meet payroll tax reporting obligations of the organization.
- Point of Contact to resolve tax notices with tax authorities.
- Support Payroll Operations as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Management, or related field.
- 5+ years Payroll Tax Experience.
- 5+ years In-House Corporate Payroll Experience.
- Preferrably 5+ years working for a large company (>10K employees).
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Infor, ADP, or current 3rd party vendor systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
