I can succeed as a Senior Payroll Manager at Capital Group.
- Lead and oversee payroll and payroll tax operations for the U.S. and Canada, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and timely.
- Have advanced knowledge of payroll processes and taxation, including cross-border and cross-jurisdiction scenarios, and effectively leverage internal and external resources to determine appropriate tax treatment for complex cases.
- Partner with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll inputs, deductions, and tax treatment for compensation, pensions or retirement-related plans, and other employee benefit programs.
- Own the accurate and timely completion of all payroll activities including payroll-related reporting and compliance obligations, tax filings, year-end reporting, payroll reconciliations, and other required internal and external reporting.
- Build and lead a highly effective team while managing the payroll impacts of organizational growth, workforce changes, and other business needs.
- Establish repeatable, scalable processes and ensure appropriate staffing to maintain service quality, compliance, and operational continuity.

- Have deep experience leading payroll operations in large, complex, multi-entity organizations with strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, reporting obligations, and payroll best practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing payroll systems, implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
- A strong understanding of payroll controls, compliance, and audit practices.
- A strategic thinker who can scale operations while maintaining accuracy and risk management.
- Proven ability to manage payroll vendors and partner effectively across Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, Technology, and other key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex payroll matters clearly to a range of stakeholders.

Southern California Base Salary Range:
$164,539-$279,716
