Senior Payroll Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Senior Payroll Accounting Analyst – Payroll Accounting will provide support for internal and external audit requests related to payroll and benefits accounting.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Manage monthly payroll accounting entries and FTE calculations, ensuring accuracy of UW Medicine’s payroll accruals and accruals for a variety of compensated absences, including vacation, sick, and holiday time.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, deliver timely and accurate reporting, support Workday payroll processes, and partner with internal stakeholders to validate data and support financial decision-making.
• Play an active role in supporting Workday Release Testing to validate payroll and financial impacts as well as other ad-hoc analysis, reporting and data validation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll business system process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 6+ years of experience with payroll accounting and FTE reporting
• Advanced Excel and Access skills for large-volume data analysis

Pay Range Minimum: $77,616.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum: $116,424.00 annual
