About the role

Responsible for a variety of tasks related to greeting, interviewing, and registering patients. The Senior Patient Services Representative works independently in a clinic office setting, may train new hires, and must obtain timely and accurate information while handling frequent interruptions in a rapid‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain patient demographics, insurance information, and verification.
  • Explain medical forms and policies, obtain signatures, and discuss financial responsibilities.
  • Collect monies and initiate the appropriate episode of care.
  • Process patient information according to departmental and interdepartmental policies and procedures.
  • File documents, perform keyboarding tasks, and answer telephone calls.
  • Train new hires as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in a healthcare‑related field (patient access, insurance eligibility verification/authorization, billing/electronic claims submission, or collection of accounts receivable).
  • Computer and data‑entry experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous hospital admitting experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the work.

Pay

Base pay range: $20.92 – $32.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Placement within the range is based on relevant experience and other applicable factors.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, day shift.
