What You’ll Do
- Reporting directly to the Head of Pathology, you will serve as a Pathology subject matter expert throughout the company.
- Collaborate with Pathology colleagues, Lab Ops and Clin Ops, Biopharma customer teams, project managers, machine learning scientists, and others to ensure the highest quality Pathology support.
- Collaborate with our Biopharma partners in all aspects of project development for exploratory biomarker and translational projects, as well as clinical services work related to clinical trials running through our GCP, GCLP, CAP and CLIA compliant Biopharma laboratory.
- Serve as Pathology lead on Biopharma and other projects to recommend scoring approaches, help select network or KOL Pathologists, develop and provide training to clinical trial study readers, participate in manual and digital scoring of Pathology cases in various indications, and conduct internal assay validations.
- Represent PathAI on calls and face to face with Biopharma customers and KOLs, at Congresses and Meetings, and elsewhere as needed.
- Ensure the quality of annotations from the PathAI Contributor Network, the quality of Biopharma data, and compliance across all projects and programs.
- Contribute to publications.
What You Bring
- US board certification in anatomic pathology is required.
- Expertise and experience in immunohistochemistry and biomarker assessment (ex/ Her2, PDL1 etc), and digital pathology is required.
- A background in translational research, immuno-oncology, and biomarker development is desired.
- Fellowship subspecialty training is highly desirable.
- The right candidate is structured and disciplined, has a natural curiosity about Biopharma programs and biomarker assessment and is also interested in the details of the machine learning field.
- You have high emotional intelligence, communicate effectively, and are flexible and solution-oriented in your approach to problem solving and your work.
- You enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams, and are an excellent collaborator, communicator, and team player.
Qualifications
US board certification in anatomic pathology is required. Expertise and experience in immunohistochemistry and biomarker assessment (ex/ Her2, PDL1 etc), and digital pathology is required. A background in translational research, immuno-oncology, and biomarker development is desired. Fellowship subspecialty training is highly desirable.

The cash compensation outlined below includes base salary or hourly wage and on-target commission for employees in eligible roles. The summary below indicates if an employee in this position is eligible for annual bonus, overtime pay and equity awards. Individual compensation packages are tailored based on skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Annual Pay Range: $208,000 - $320,000
