We are seeking a Senior Pastor to lead a church of 25 people in a city of 65,000. Our church is pre-trib, KJV, conservative, traditional music, soul-winning, and independent Baptist.
About the role
The Senior Pastor will oversee all aspects of church operations, including worship services, discipleship programs, and community outreach. They will also serve as a spiritual leader and mentor to the congregation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee weekly worship services and ensure they align with the church's values and beliefs.
- Develop and implement discipleship programs to grow members' faith and involvement in the church.
- Lead in evangelism efforts to reach out to the community and attract new members.
- Maintain strong relationships with church members and staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with other church leaders to ensure the church's mission and vision are carried out effectively.
Requirements
- A strong background in Christian theology and a deep understanding of the Bible.
- Experience leading a church of similar size or larger.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Passion for soul-winning and building a vibrant, growing church community.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (preferably theology or ministry).
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a leadership role within a church setting.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
