SENIOR PASTOR
About the Church
First Baptist Church of Luverne, Minnesota, established in 1875, is a multigenerational congregation of over 100 people, ranging from newborns to the elderly. Located in a farm-oriented, small-town community in southwest Minnesota, our church values missions, community engagement, and the authority of Scripture. We support a vibrant AWANA program for youth and their families and actively contribute to missionary work.
Our purpose is to know Jesus and make Him known, living lives of gratefulness for His salvation. We are dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission and seek a pastor who will shepherd the congregation while challenging us to reach those outside our church, including those who may have had negative experiences elsewhere.
About the Role
We are seeking a full-time pastor to lead our congregation following the retirement of our current pastor after 8 years of ministry. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to Scripture as our supreme authority in doctrine and practice, and eager to engage with our community. We value a leader who will work alongside us to address both the strengths and weaknesses of our church and its members.
We prefer a pastor who can immerse themselves in our community and guide us in both spiritual growth and outreach.
