Senior Pastor

Cornerstone Baptist Church, a multigenerational Southern Baptist congregation in Huntsville, Alabama (Maysville/Ryland area), is seeking a Spirit-led, biblically grounded Senior Pastor.

About the role

This full-time role requires a committed leader who will preach the Word of God, shepherd the congregation, and guide the church in fulfilling its mission to glorify God, make disciples, and engage in community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sound biblical sermons
• Provide pastoral care and spiritual counseling
• Lead vision and ministry efforts
• Oversee church operations
• Support evangelism and missions
• Work alongside the deacon body, staff, and ministry teams to ensure alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message

Requirements

• Meet biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
• Be ordained within the Southern Baptist Convention
• Hold a theological degree (preferred)
• Have at least five years of ministry experience (preferred)
• Relocate to the Madison County area
