Key Responsibilities
- Preach and teach biblically sound sermons that encourage spiritual growth and promote the worship of God.
- Administer baptism, the Lord’s Supper, weddings, funerals and child dedications; provide pastoral visitation to the sick and shut in.
- Lead initiatives that engage members of all generations to grow God’s Kingdom by reaching the lost and unchurched.
- Provide guidance and oversight to church ministries and committees with an emphasis on youth, young adults and associate ministries.
- Equip members to identify and use their spiritual gifts in service to the church and through outreach beyond the church walls.
- Offer pastoral counseling and support during significant life events and times of crisis.
- Work with deacons, church officers, and committees as they perform their assigned responsibilities; train and lead the deacons in ministry.
- Act as moderator of church business meetings.
- Cooperate with association, state and denominational leaders in matters of mutual interest and concern; keep the church informed of denominational development; represent the church in civic matters.
Qualifications And Experience
- Ordained minister with a deep knowledge of Christian theology and doctrine.
- Demonstrated experience in preaching and teaching across all age groups.
- Strong pastoral care skills marked by compassion, empathy, and spiritual guidance.
- Effective leadership and administrative ability to motivate teams and oversee church operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse congregation.
- Spiritual maturity with a demonstrated commitment to personal growth and development.
- Visionary leadership to set the direction and inspire the congregation toward God’s mission.
This is a full time position without any outside vocation unless pre approved.
