About the Church

First Baptist Church of Haynesville, Georgia (FBCH) is an historic, rural congregation of over 201 years located on U.S. Highway 341 South between Perry and Hawkinsville in Houston County. The church is situated to reach a new generation in a region experiencing very rapid growth.

Our Vision

By the power of the Holy Spirit and for the Glory of God, we seek a pastor who will join us in our vision to be a unified and growing church, strengthening every generation to walk in truth and love as we reach our community for Christ.

Qualifications

• Meets the Scriptural qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
• Ordained in a Southern Baptist Church
• Experienced leader with strong preaching skills and a pastor's heart
• Comfortable with traditional worship but patient to lead the church and staff to grow in worship and discipleship to reach a new generation
• Prepared through theological and ministry training, preferably with a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited school
• Believes in the inerrancy of Scripture
• Fully supportive of the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000
• Supportive of North American and International missions
• Believes that through the Gospel, all people of every race and nation may come to salvation through Jesus Christ
• Affirms that God does not wish that any should perish but that all should come unto repentance (2 Peter 3:9) and that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13)

FBCH is a Southern Baptist Church affiliated with the GA Baptist Mission Board and the Rehobeth Baptist Association.
