Client is an AV-rated Maryland law firm with more than 40 attorneys and offices in Greenbelt and Rockville. We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to support two family law trial attorneys in our Rockville office. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys handling complex family law and guardianship matters while serving as a key contributor to a small, collaborative, and high-performing team. We are looking for a seasoned professional who thrives on responsibility, enjoys meaningful client interaction, exercises sound judgment, and takes pride in producing exceptional work product. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding client service during some of the most challenging and important transitions in our clients' lives.
Responsibilities
- Managing all phases of written discovery, including drafting, responding, organizing, and coordinating document production
- Organizing, reviewing, indexing, summarizing, and managing case documents
- Preparing for depositions, hearings, settlement conferences, and trials
- Drafting and coordinating discovery and trial subpoenas
- Communicating with and supporting clients throughout the life of a case
- Coordinating with expert witnesses and consultants
- Assisting with prospective client intake and new client onboarding
- Maintaining case calendars, monitoring deadlines, and supporting overall case management
