About the role

Aquent is partnering with a dynamic and innovative leader in digital marketing to find a key strategist who will act as a visionary architect, leading cutting-edge campaigns from conception to completion. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, driving innovation and mentorship within a collaborative environment. You will directly influence the success of impactful initiatives, shaping the digital presence of prominent institutions—particularly in higher education—and ensuring client messages resonate and goals are exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Architect complex, integrated digital strategies tailored to client business marketing goals and objectives, operating with significant autonomy.
  • Identify key digital business opportunities and design comprehensive media plans that drive effective digital marketing strategies and tactical execution.
  • Prepare strategic, multichannel media plans and budgets for both existing and potential new clients.
  • Oversee the execution of client campaigns, collaborating closely with platform specialists to continuously optimize performance and ensure goal attainment.
  • Provide in-depth monthly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis for clients, utilizing advanced analytics and platform reporting tools.
  • Analyze data in aggregate to identify short-term and long-term trends, translating insights into thoughtful, actionable recommendations.
  • Foster robust client-agency relationships through monthly strategy calls, serving as an expert partner and advising on best practices.
  • Stay abreast of the latest digital landscape trends, emerging platforms, and industry news to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by contributing to team meetings, proposing process improvements, strategic testing initiatives, and ways to enhance client satisfaction and campaign success.
  • Supervise client accounts managed by junior and mid-level strategists, providing essential support and mentorship to ensure strong client relationships are maintained.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members, guiding them through processes and daily tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 2 or more years of experience in digital media planning and/or the execution of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience using and analyzing data visualization and analytics tools.
  • Direct experience with industry-standard paid media platforms and/or Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs).
  • Clear and confident oral and written communication skills, capable of presenting campaign performance effectively to both clients and internal digital teams.
  • Proven experience analyzing and reporting on data trends, coupled with a full understanding of digital marketing KPIs and success metrics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multitask in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to utilize resources to work independently and troubleshoot issues before escalation.
  • Effective communication and time management skills, along with the ability to proficiently use and switch between multiple technology platforms in a remote environment.

Qualifications

  • A Marketing or Advertising major/concentration is preferred.
  • Some management experience is a plus.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., in paid media or analytics) are a plus.
  • Experience with project management software tools is a plus.
