About the role

The Senior Paid Media Manager will oversee paid media strategies and performance across a portfolio of approximately 3–5 client accounts. This role requires a combination of hands-on channel expertise, client leadership, strategic consulting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, innovation, execution, and performance of paid media programs across a portfolio of approximately 3–5 client accounts.
  • Develop, implement, audit, test, and optimize paid media campaigns aligned with client KPIs, business objectives, and marketing strategies.
  • Plan and execute campaigns across major Search and Social platforms, including Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Explore and pilot emerging paid media channels, tools, and unconventional approaches to identify new opportunities for client growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative and Analytics teams to develop effective creative strategies, measure performance, manage tagging, and strengthen campaign outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with SEO and other digital marketing specialists to create integrated strategies for clients receiving multiple services.
  • Produce, analyze, and present insightful paid media performance reports directly to clients, turning campaign data into actionable recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary paid media point of contact for assigned clients, leading biweekly and ad hoc meetings while building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Manage client expectations, communicate project timelines accurately, and proactively address changes, risks, and delivery requirements.
  • Contribute to client retention and account growth through strong communication, strategic storytelling, presentations, and relationship management.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of each client's industry, target audience, competitive landscape, goals, and relevant media trends.
  • Support sales enablement by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities and contributing to sales pitches, client onboarding, and campaign kickoffs.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to junior team members, review their work for quality, and ensure consistently high-quality client deliverables.
  • Mentor and, where applicable, directly manage 1–2 Paid Media team members, supporting their professional development and performance.
  • Contribute to media product development, process improvements, best-practice development, industry knowledge sharing, and broader departmental initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience managing both Paid Search and Paid Social campaigns, with strong expertise across platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Previous agency experience is required, with at least 3 years of meaningful client-facing experience serving as a primary point of contact.
  • Proven ability to lead paid media strategy and take ownership of account performance and client outcomes.
  • Strong testing and experimentation mindset, with an appetite for innovation and exploring new media channels and approaches.
  • Experience collaborating with Creative teams, contributing to creative briefs, and using paid social insights to improve performance creative.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics 4 and Google Sheets and/or Excel.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and Supermetrics is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to translate performance data into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in client-facing settings.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Genuine curiosity and strong research skills, with the motivation to stay current on industry developments, platform changes, and emerging best practices.
  • Receptiveness to constructive feedback and a demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor teammates and contribute positively to a collaborative remote culture.
