Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Design and implement packaging solutions for Power Transmission and Fluid Power products, including development of specifications, engineering standards, AutoCAD drawings, BOMs, labeling, and documentation.
- Partner with manufacturing, logistics, quality, procurement, commercial teams, and external stakeholders to ensure packaging readiness for new product launches, plant transfers, and customer requirements.
- Lead packaging validation and performance analysis through testing, data evaluation, and root cause identification to improve product protection, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and cost optimization initiatives, including packaging redesign, material optimization, process improvements, and support for sourcing activities and supplier collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards, while standardizing global packaging approaches and leading alignment across regions.
Requirements And Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in packaging engineering, manufacturing, or a related environment
- Experience designing packaging solutions for industrial or automotive products preferred
- Proficiency with CAD software (2D/3D), including AutoCAD for packaging design and drawings
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, testing methods, and supply chain requirements
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including Prop 65 and EU packaging regulation
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma certification and/or formal project management experience
- Experience working in a global organization with cross-regional collaboration
- Familiarity with packaging automation, material innovation, and sustainability initiatives

Pay & Benefits
- Payscale Range: $95,000 - $105,000
