About the role

At Wesco, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to building, connecting, powering, and protecting the world. As a Senior Representative - Outside Sales, you will play a crucial role in increasing sales and margin for the Company's products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify accounts by determining market potential and providing periodic territory sales forecasts.
  • Execute and expand assigned customer account plans, working closely with management.
  • Drive account growth and retention through sales/supplier plans, leveraging sales management tools.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Engage with all levels of the customer’s organization, from technical to executive management, and develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
  • Maintain and enhance customer relationships through ongoing communication and relationship management, resolving any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Develop and grow product knowledge through Wesco and supplier training, and perform regular joint sales calls with suppliers.
  • Provide quotations directly or in conjunction with the sales support team, and mentor the sales team to ensure optimal customer service.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record required.
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years outside sales experience required.
  • 4 years industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers, including 50-75% travel.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, strong interpersonal skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques preferred.

  • Compensation details: $89,928 - $121,403 annually, with potential for bonuses and sales incentives.
