Senior Oracle SQL Data Analyst
Job Description
***Only qualified Senior Oracle SQL Analyst candidates located near the Atlanta GA area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Experience
- Oracle SQL development against transactional databases (5+ Years)
- Writing complex SQL (joins CTEs subqueries CASE aggregate and analytic functions) (5+ Years)
- Normalized relational database design and table relationships (5+ Years)
- SQL job scheduling and automated database processes (3+ Years)
- Translating business requirements into SQL solutions (3+ Years)
- Operational reporting and data analysis (3+ Years)
Preferred Experience
- Oracle PL/SQL (procedures functions packages views) (3+ Years)
- SQL troubleshooting query optimization and data validation (5+ Years)
- Tableau or other data visualization software
- Criminal justice or other large transactional database environments
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programs
- Write simple and complex SQL queries from scratch against normalized Oracle transactional databases
- Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate tables, relationships, joins, and business rules needed to answer complex business questions
- Extract, validate, transform, and analyze operational data for reporting, research, grants, and executive requests
- Develop and maintain automated SQL processes, scheduled database jobs, and recurring data refreshes
- Troubleshoot SQL scripts, automated jobs, and data quality issues
- Create efficient, reusable, and well-documented SQL code
- Support recurring operational reports, legislative reporting, and research initiatives
- Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and communicate analytical findings
- Support Tableau dashboards and other data visualization initiatives as needed
