Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Job Location: Jersey City, NJ (Day One Onsite - Hybrid)

About the Role

Create Oracle procedures, functions, triggers, packages, materialized views, and views using advanced features of Oracle 11g/12c. Handle ETL processing with Python, Oracle, Unix, batch ETL, and real-time stream processing. Perform QA for tasks, load large datasets from multiple vendors, and execute data cleansing, transformations, modeling, and analytics. Optimize existing SQL/PLSQL objects and develop new, high-performance objects. Design and maintain complex Unix shell scripts to automate batch job processing and generate real-time, daily, and weekly reports.

Responsibilities

  • Perform logical and physical database design, data modeling, and risk analysis.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, data mappings, program logic, and flowcharts for change requests.
  • Write complex queries to identify and remediate interface failures.
  • Automate flat file loading to Oracle using SQL Loader and create control files.
  • Optimize Oracle performance and understand end-to-end flow from UI to DB.
  • Use GitHub Copilot or other Dev Assist tools for development tasks.

Qualifications

  • Strong Oracle performance tuning skills.
  • Experience with ETL processing, Python, Unix, and real-time stream processing.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PLSQL, and data modeling.
  • Ability to create and maintain complex Unix shell scripts.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar Dev Assist tools.

Pay

The gross annual base salary range for this full-time position is $80,420 to $106,050. This range covers base pay only; bonuses, incentives, and benefits will be discussed during the hiring process. Your exact offer will depend on job-related factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
