Senior Oracle DBA

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Oracle DBA with strong expertise in managing secure high availability database environments under ITAR-regulated frameworks. The role focuses on database reliability, security compliance, and performance optimization for mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, 21c environments in ITAR-compliant infrastructure
• Ensure strict adherence to ITAR data sovereignty and access control policies
• Configure, monitor, and maintain HADR solutions, RAC, Data Guard, ASM
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization for enterprise workloads
• Manage database security including encryption, TDE, patching, vulnerability remediation
• Support backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and enterprise tools
• Automate routine DBA tasks using shell, Python scripting
• Collaborate with infrastructure security and application teams for issue resolution and deployments
• Maintain audit readiness and support compliance reviews and documentation

MustHave Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle DBA administration
• 8+ years of deep knowledge of ITAR compliance and handling regulated data environments
• Expertise in RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN
• Experience with database patching, upgrades, and migrations
• Strong understanding of security hardening and auditing
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
• Scripting skills: Shell, Python

GoodToHave Skills

• Experience with Oracle Cloud OCI or hybrid cloud setups
• Familiarity with DevOps tools CI/CD in database deployments
• Exposure to monitoring tools: OEM, Splunk, etc.
• Knowledge of other RDBMS: SQL Server, PostgreSQL

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance, and internal equity.
