Senior Operations Specialist

The Cash Management Retirement Senior Operations Specialist handles complex escalations, ensures adherence to policies and procedures for asset and security movements in Retirement accounts, and makes decisions balancing risk tolerance. This role is also key to training new associates to process move-money requests accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Handle high-level/complex escalations by understanding the request, taking appropriate action, and providing rationale to resolve while keeping management informed.
- Provide trend analysis on processing queues and escalate as appropriate.
- Make decisions while weighing risk tolerance.
- Facilitate the training of new team members using multiple methods, including updated training guides, shadowing, and ongoing processing support.
- Identify opportunities for training gaps within the team and work toward solutions.
- Apply understanding of IRS rules and regulations related to contributions and distributions in Retirement Accounts.
- Problem-solve and conduct research on advisor-related questions and escalations using a variety of tools.
- Consistently research, review, and update department procedures to ensure alignment with IRS regulations.
- Assist with quality assurance reviews.
- Review, prepare, and process complex retirement move-money requests, including RMD, Removal of Excess, Recharacterizations, and Qualified Retirement Plan transactions.
- Actively participate in user acceptance testing for enhancements to current systems/processes.
- Proactively educate internal business partners and advisors on products and processes, including necessary updates to intranet and advisor-facing resources.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and take ownership of implementation.
- Work collaboratively and efficiently with others in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Requirements
- 1+ years of financial services experience.
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite.

Pay
$17.23–$28.72/hour. Actual base salary varies based on factors including relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
