Serco is seeking a Senior Operations Security Specialist to provide senior-level Operations Security (OPSEC) support to a Department of Defense customer supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) mission. This role involves protecting sensitive operations and information through documentation management, stakeholder coordination, process execution, action tracking, and operational risk identification.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level Operations Security (OPSEC) support, including documentation, coordination, process execution, and action tracking.
- Review operations security materials, reports, trackers, correspondence, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders to support operations security requirements and resolve issues.
- Support meetings, working groups, data calls, briefings, and leadership updates related to operations security activities.
- Identify risks, documentation gaps, process issues, and improvement opportunities across operations security workflows.
- Provide experienced guidance to support disciplined execution of security requirements in a mission-focused environment.
- Support the F-35 Joint Program Office mission through effective coordination and execution of operations security activities.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance; an active Secret Clearance is preferred.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance preferred and utilized within the last two years.
- Special Access Program (SAP) experience or eligibility preferred.
- Master's degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree and 14 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience supporting Operations Security (OPSEC), Program Security, Industrial Security, or related Department of Defense security functions.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex actions across government and contractor organizations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience preparing reports, briefings, trackers, and security-related documentation.
- Ability to work effectively within a secure facility environment while maintaining strict adherence to security requirements.
Skills
- Prior experience working in a secure facility.
- Prior experience supporting Security Countermeasure activities and operations.
- Experience supporting administrative processes and document management in a secure environment.
- Experience preparing reports, briefings, status updates, and tracking spreadsheets.
- Ability to work effectively with government and contractor personnel.
- Experience supporting defense acquisition, program management, or security operations associated with major defense programs.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
Schedule
- This position is on-site in Arlington, Virginia.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
- Up to 10% travel may be required, including CONUS and OCONUS travel.
