About the role

The Sr. Operations Risk Analyst – Enterprise Risk Management provides critical support to the Risk Leadership team in developing, implementing, and executing the Credit Union’s Enterprise Risk Management framework. This role involves identifying, managing, monitoring, and tracking risk, assisting in the implementation and maintenance of the framework, and coordinating risk assessments across various business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage subject matter expertise to identify, manage, monitor, and track risk.
  • Aid in the implementation and maintenance of the Credit Union’s risk framework, supporting policies and procedures.
  • Support key ERM programs such as Risk Assessments, Reportable Events, New Product Approval Process, Risk Appetite, Model and Insurance Management, and Key Risk Indicators.
  • Evaluate significant operational processes for design and controls, updating and managing risk and control libraries in the Credit Union’s GRC system.
  • Collaborate with management, business areas, and risk counterparts to analyze, rate, and mitigate significant risks.
  • Manage the Credit Union’s Reportable Events program by gathering information from multiple data sources for root cause analysis, rating, and evaluation.
  • Create and deliver educational materials to support the Credit Union’s risk management framework and culture.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Requirements

Core qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field, along with 4-5 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably in Risk Management, Audit, or Compliance. Computer skills, particularly proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Visio, are also essential.
